Dickens’ first novel is almost the story of a road trip; the nineteenth century gap year adventure of posh old gents.

It’s a little odd at first, as every chapter seems a self-contained sketch, but eventually it blends into the rambling, wonderfully observed novel we know from the author.

In particular, every page stings with wit and satire. No-one takes the piss like Dickens.

Have all the fixtures handy. Here’s how.

One week to go before Euro 2012. There are 30-something players so far and I think that’ll get up to 40 or so with all the bandwagon jumpers glory seekers latecomers.

I think it might be fun to put players in touch via twitter. I don’t know if this’ll work or not, but here are some useful links:

Just over a week to go, and I’m thinking about how best to run the game and get interaction going between the players.

There is a hashtag, #euroguff, but I thought I’d experiment with a group blog. This way, when I update the results and send out my usual nonsense, it will appear on this website and you’ll be able to contribute/post too.
